Alternative Energy Sources
With the current usage rate it is estimated that the earth will run dry of fossil fuels by the year 2100. What is more alarming is that this date is based on current power requirements, which according to scientists may have increased by up to 100% by that time.
The search for a means of power generation which is both green and sustainable has been ongoing for decades and with the advancements in engineering technology and know how we now have a wide range of potential options available to us as a race. Although none of the options will ever be sufficient to replace fossil fuel usage on their own a combination of them working together shows that there are sources for our power requirements.
Here we look at each of the different methods which in the future could shape the way we generate electricity.
