The Ecological and Financial Benefits of Bio Fuels
There are a number of benefits associated with the use of biofuels. Three main benefits are that the fuel some from renewable sources, there is less than 0.1% sulphur present in them and less air pollutants are produced.
All biofuels and renewable energy supplies are far greener than the current alternative of fossil fuel burning. Emissions are greatly reduced and in many cases are zero which drastically reduces the level of pollution going into the atmosphere which can effect areas such as global warming and current change.
In terms of financial benefits they can be huge. Many countries do not have coal and oil reserves meaning these fuels must be imported in for energy production. Biomass fuels and renewable energy sources are available to any country in the world without the need for importing.
Crops can be grown for fuel, every country has rivers, sun and wind to utilise these methods of energy creation and every country produces food and packaging waste. By using biofuels and renewable energy we are using items which will always be available as many of them are naturally occurring processes. Utilising waste which was previously sent to landfill as a fuel for energy creation is among one of the newest approaches to renewable energy production.
