Why Recycling is Important

Recycling is of critical importance in the modern world. With fossil fuels, such as coal, beginning to run low we need to ensure that we are using all the resources available to their maximum and not wasting anything.

Recycling of cans has been done for many years, along with paper and plastics. Most food waste is still thrown away which means this valuable resource is being wasted. We eat food for energy and any food which is thrown away still contains this energy value which can be used as a means of creating energy.

By doing your bit and recycling everything you can you will be helping to create a brighter future for you to live in.

What happens to the things you thrown away

Most items which can be recycled are now sent away to special centres where they are processed so that they can be used again.
